Greater Northwestern School of Wizardry
Welcome To Our Role play The Greater Northwestern School of Wizardry is a role play game based in the online world of Second Life. No this is not Harry Potter or Hogwarts, So if your looking to play at Hogwarts then this isn't the role play for you.This is not Harry Potter, Harry Potter does not even exist in this world.
The History of the School. The Greater Northwestern School of Wizardry was founded in the forested areas of the Pacific Northwest well hidden from those who do not use magic or would be scared by it.
It is a new school only having been recently founded after the recent baby boom in the magical community. The time is set in the current year. This is a new school, This is not Hogwarts.
In these pages one will find out how magic works and the rules of the role play, this is the open to non members pages, once a member of the role play there is a special forum area just for them with In character and role play news there. Members are given the link to the forum in world(second life).
The school has a Principal, plus the assistant principals. The school follows the system of grades in an American High School, there are no houses, the school is a boarding school, with a boys and girls dormitory areas. Those students who live near the school stay at their homes.
Those from outside the village stay in the dorm.
Time in world follows that of real time in the United States West coast, so if it is 3:00 pm in world(sl) then it is three in the afternoon, second life for some odd reason has day and night set to cycle different so it may look like night but it is not. So on that note if it is 3:00 am even if it shows up as light out, its not its three in the morning.
The village around the school is close knit community called Ravens Hollow, There's the White Bee Tea Garden popular with students and adults. More for adults and older students is the Pickled Pixie Pub. Town is also home to the BoysTown Ranch a ranch home run by boys needing a new place to live. Quite a few stores in the town as well selling all kinds of goods one might need. The look of the town and school has a very eclectic look to it varies from cabin style to old world with a few modern looking buildings about. Remember this town is set in the United States and in current time so it won't look like a medieval fantasy or post disaster urban it is set to look like a shopping center in a town in the U.S.A. so the stores will be selling all kinds of things just like they do in the real world not all items will fit a magical rp nor should they to keep with the feel of this being a typical town. The shoppe area while part of the role play is also open to non role players and is a business so feel free to rp if your a member of the rp but don't be rude to the merchants or their costumers.
